Hey, this may be a better post for the bike maintenance page... so I can forward it over there if need be.
How can you tell when the headset needs to be replaced/serviced. Sometimes when I am riding I can head a clicking noise. I typically need to re-screw the top of headset back on. I have a origin* stem on there right now, with some cut straight bars so the clicking may be the stem... I dont know how to trouble shoot and I want to learn how to service the bike myself. I may just need to take it to the LBS though. Let me know what you think.

(PS it is a threaded headset)
