Has anyone ridden a Linear? If so what did you think of it?

We've got an old linear recumbent tandem that works well and has taken an immense amount of abuse. I can't speak to their singles but we have very happy with the tandem.

When I was shopping, linear was one that I liked except.... the thing had that fold up feature so I didn't trust the flexing and squeeking from the frame.

Has a Linear ever had a frame failure?

I have a linear that I bought 'second hand' at a bike shop back in 2000...I am not sure what kind of abuse it took...curb hopping or railroad tracks or whatever....I got it for $250 cause the frame was cracked, Had it welded and it has held since but I do not ride it that much cause I have a RANS Stratus, and other bikes too. I hear that the frame issues have been resolved on the newer ones, mine is old enought to be a over seat steering, they have not made for a long time. a little more info for your file. I have thought about getting the new one, that is how much I like mine, even though I do not ride it a lot.
