Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Online Bike Parts?

Are there any good reliable online bike stores? I was going to buy a new set of higher PSI tires and possibly some pedals as these plastic ones freak me out. But I am not sure where to go to get good prices and trustworthy service.

I've used bikeparts.com in the past for some hard to find items. Faster shipping than nashbar but their product search feature is terrible.

I've used Performance Bike, Nashbar, PricePoint, JensonUSA, Universal Cycles, BikeTiresDirect.com, Bicycle Wheel Warehouse, and probably a bunch of others I've forgotten...

Others have good luck with PBK (probikekit.com) but I haven't tried them. Apparently they have great prices and good shipping.

I've been happiest with AE Bike recently. Great prices and free shipping over $75.00. They're not as fast on the shipping, and they batch orders every couple of days so it might not ship right away, but for instance:
I just bought a DT Swiss RR1.1 rim from them. LBS wants $109.00 for it. Bikeman wants $80.00 for it plus shipping no matter how much you spend. AE Bike has it for $71, so I bought $5.00 more of stuff and got free shipping, too.

In some cases, the easiest way to get the right part is to take the old one in and say "I need one of these". And if it's some $5 part, it's not worth ordering off the internet and paying $10 postage.

And if its a heavy part (repair stand, rack etc) it pays to buy locally instead of paying $40 for shipping...and sometimes you want the part immediately without shipping...but OP specifically asked for internet vendors.

For tires I'd probably use Bike Tires Direct (http://www.biketiresdirect.com/). For pedals, unless I knew exactly what I wanted (personally I ride Shimano 520 SPD's so I know what I need), I'd take StephenH's advice and go to my LBS so I could see them before I bought.

I need to get a bike stand, I noticed some small ones that can prop up the rear only. Seem simple and cheap if you need to work on the shifting. Do you guys all have one?

I know some people mentioned Nashbar. Given the problems that they've had recently with credit card fraud, does anyone really want to be one of their customers? I wouldn't spend a dime there, I don't even go to their website to price match.

Given no real word from Nashbar about this, they seem to be hoping people forget about it or don't know about it. Not a good way to build trust with customers by using a form of deception. They were telling customers who contacted them initially that there couldn't be a problem on the Nashbar end. They at the very least need to own up that they hired the wrong people to process their transactions. I'd feel guilty not steering people away from a company with such a stellar reputation for getting their customers ripped off.

Colorado Cyclists is another option. They have fair prices generally, but , they also have some really good deals. Check them out. Still, you have a better chance at Jenson, Performance, Nashbar, etc. like the others said.

I have 3 of the little stands that hook around chain and seat stays. 2 for bikes i don't have space to hang, one to toss onto the coffee table to do minor adjustments to. They are serviceable for minor work.

I keep saying I'm going to buy a Park Team stand but something always comes up and the $200 is needed elsewhere.
