Last year I aquired two chopper style bikes, one was 1969 mark 1 Raleigh Chopper, which is complete and straight with all of the original parts. Of course it has taken it's toll having been stored for 30 years. I intend to restore the Raleigh it's new condition over the summer, as there seems to be plenty of people around selling the parts that I require.
The reason for my thread is that I have had no luck at all in finding out information on the second bike that I aquired at the same time as the Raleigh Chopper. This bike is styled very similar to the Raleigh but it has a five speed shifter mounted on the frame and a twin tubed centrebar rather than a single one. It's called a Philsoof and the header badge reads also reads 'Philfoof' also. But no other decals on the bike give anything else away.
I would love to restore the Philsoof as well as the Raleigh. I think that it's a nicer looking bike, but having had so little luck finding any information out about the Philsoof, yet alone spares for it, I am at this moment in time reluctant to commence work on it. I can not even find any details for a Manufacturer called Philsoof on the web.
If any of you know of anything that might help me out with this, I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
David.
