Northern California - need a final double. suggestions requested

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
So I need a 3rd double. I did Eastern Sierra, I've registered for the Death Valley double on Oct. 24th.
My remaining choices that I can contemplate with work are all in the fall.
I could maybe get in the Mt. Tam double, or do Solvang Autumn double the week before the Death Valley double... How bad of an idea would that be, to do back-to-backs?
Or, does anyone have any experience with the White Mountain double? That one looks good to me, what with the half-familiar route. At least it's only south on Hwy 6...
Anyone doing any of these rides, or know that 1 is particularly worth the effort?

Tam is very well run and has great support.
You didn't mention Knoxville, but it's also a very nice fall double.

Grand Tour is coming up in two weeks, in Malibu. Did it, great support, great folks. I think Dauphin is doing it.
As Zippy says, Knoxville is nice. I've heard good things about Bass Lake.

Knoxville. I plan on doing this as my 5th in one year.
Maybe I wasn't clear about schedule issues. Knoxville isn't an option, unfortunately.

I vote for Mt. Tam double. It's always nice when you don't have to travel too far.

+1.... but sign up fast. It could fill up, if it hasn't already.
As for back to back doubles, you should be fine as long as you're not struggling just to finish a double. I did Central Coast and Davis on b2b weekends with no problems. 6 days of recovery is plenty. My Wed. night mtb races really suffered though....

I just signed up for Mt Tam double and they have around 80 places left. I did the Century last year and it was very scenic. The only bad bit was really bad traffic in certain sections.
