Introductions - Greetings from a new commuter!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all, been searching these forums for the past few days and realised that if there was anywhere to gather information or share experiences on bikes, this is the place. Right now trying to find a folding commuter bike for my life here in London, but hopefully it will not be too long before picking up a road bike for the weekends. I hope to get to know a lot of you soon ^^

Lookfor a folder that rides well, since it is no fun riding a bike with the stiffness of a wet noodle and with wheels that cant roll over the smallest potholes. The max foldability is of secondary importance. Weight is also important since you must consider carrying it when folded.

I agree to take weight into high consideration. I bought myself a cheapy Citizen a year or so ago and it was like lugging a ton of bricks onto the bus/train. I eventually stopped using it because it became frustrating to shed more sweat lugging the thing up the 3 bus steps then the 2 mile ride it took to get to the station.
Good luck in your search!
