I'm thinking of building a trailer. Anyone have a good design or a web site to point me towards?

No, but if you're going to pull it with a fixie remember to think about turning radius and heel clearance. The one I have to pull my kids in will wack my heels in a tight turn when I'm on my fixie so I have to use my SS mountain bike to pull it so I can coast through turns.
