Cyclocross - Jamis Nova Pro (or Supernova)?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking long and hard at the Jamis Nova Pro, but the local dealer doesn't want to order one without me buying it first (sans any sort of test ride).
Any Nova Pro owners out there? What do you think? How does it handle/ride? How does Jamis sizing run? (i.e. I'm usually a 55-56 on road bikes - 55 on bianchi, 56 on specialized.)

Or, any Jamis Supernova owners?
If I liked the local Jamis dealer, and if I saw one in person and it fit me well, I may have gotten one.
As it played out, I considered one back in November, but they were out of '08s and I thought the '09 was overpriced compared to the competition. For the price my LBS gave me, I could have saved by getting a comparable Fuji Cross Comp. I liked the detail of the bike, but the carbon stay meant nothing to me, and the I didn't trust the LBS dealing Jamis near me.

My daughter has a Nova Pro, this was a build project using the 105 Groupe and Open Pro Wheels.
She is 100% happy with it. The geometry is more like a sport road bike than a pure Cyclocross race machine and this is ideal as an all purpose bike. It's also very light for a bike in this price point and features carbon fiber seat stays.
See if you can ride the Ventura Race. The ride should be very close in terms of fit and performance.

Yes, that a 51 or 52cm sized frame with 700c wheels. The head tube is very short since CX forks are about 20mm longer than Road bikes (for mud clearance with larger tires). The top tube is on the long side, it fits her well.
