I enjoy communting to work 5 miles each way. The winters here are bit too cold and dark for me, so I'm just a three season commuter. Winters in Minnesota are for cross country skiing!
Currently ride a Giant comfort bike, but after helping my son buy a road bike, I have gotten bitten with the bug. I am looking at a cyclocross to take me comfortably over the potholes and occasional week-end ride on gravel. Will probably go with a Bianchi Volpe or Surly Cross Check. Any thoughts on those bikes would be helpful. Since I am closer to 60 than 20, I will not be doing any racing.
