does this sound copacetic? Looking for something nice for longish rides on a limited budget ( isn't everyone )

Thanks Guys!

It always amazes me that people trying to sell a bike can have it right in front of them, and still spell Fuji wrong...

I don't know about prices in your area (someone from NH should drop by shortly), but I think the bike is over-priced, but worth more than any bike you could buy new for $200... If it is indeed ready to ride, I would offer $125-$150 for it, then I would drop down for anything that looks like it needs work or replacement, such as cracking tires, dry brake pads etc.

I agree 100%-$150 in great condition. $200 is a bit too high.

I have an 1984 right now, and it is a really sweet bike, very light, quad butted valite frame. I would consider it to be one of the nicest Japanese bikes I have had from that era. Definitely better than the $175 vintage bikes I have been seeing.

Unfortunately, the 1982 version is not nearly as nice of a bike. Quite a bit heavier, dual butted frame instead of quad butted. High ten steel fork, instead of valite fork. Vx components, versus ARX components. The 1982 del Rey is very similar to the Royale I just sold.

In very clean, ready to ride condition (good fresh tires, cables, etc), I would put this bike at $175.

The vintage Fuji site is a good one, and worth checking. They don't show a 1981 version of the del Rey.

I thought the same thing, but then I adjusted the OP's overall score for spelling "copacetic" correctly and using it correctly in a sentence. I'm a sucker for old slang terms, as well as old bikes. So don't snap your cap.

Might be worth it to check back in a week or two. She likely won't sell it at this price. And sounds like you saw her at a really bad time.
