Being short and steep, this climb was ideal for a high meter per hour climbing rate. Though wow, it does put things in perspective. Look at all those 90s records. Most notable is Armstrong in 2001, where he crushed everyone on l'Alpe d'Huez, yet didn't come close to some of the 90s climbs of l'Alpe by Pantani and Ullrich. Even his TT, expectedly a tad better than his ride in 2001, not as fast. And he crushed the field on Hautacam, yet it wasn't fast enough to even make that list? (though it was in the rain - dunno how much that slows things down)
