Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Paul hubs

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am considering these hubs. Any info/openions would help:

For a while I was stuck on Phil wood hubs, but after I found the ones above I seem to like their look better. But I am not sure how well they hold up.

i have a few friends with paul hubs. nothing but good comments about them. my friend beats the crap out of his karate monkey that rides on pauls. he said he's never ridden a better hub. i'm building some sew up track wheels soon and am going to use pauls myself. paul components are top notch in my opinion.
I have no first-hand experience with them either, but think they are, hmmmm, swell. Take a look at this link, scoll down the page a bit, and click on the lovely golden ones:

Yup...that's what I was thinking too. But then, I'd rather have that resurface ad nauseam than Tron Boy's unitarded @ss.
