Road Bike Racing - i don't think i can prove i raced *confused*

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i recently did my first race. i bought a one day license, filled out the release forms, raced, and went home. i have no official anything that i actually completeled this race. the organizers don't seem to post results and haven't answered my inquires yet.
i'd like to have all my races count toward eventually moving up in catergoies. should i worry about this, or is it on record somewhere?

If you're talking about a future upgrade from 5 to 4, your local rep will in all likelihood take your word for it. Just keep your own records for when you buy a yearly USCF license so you can include them when the time comes. Also, some event promoters take quite a while to post results and even then they'll only post 20 deep which the USCF officials know and take into account with 5 to 4 upgrades.

Relax. They don't really keep record of your race results. Do they??? Anyway, just remember the name of the event, time, day, placing and field size. Use them on your race cat upgrade resume. They will upgrade you. Trust me. :)

After your race is over, remove your number and have one of the officials write your result on the back of it and sign it. This how I was taught to keep track of my results for upgrading.

i have no official anything that i actually completeled this race. I wouldn't worry. You don't have to finish the race, only start it in order to qualify for an upgrade from 5 to 4. Just keep any receipts from your race as backup.
