Hello all. Ive had this Peugeot road bike for a while and for the past couple months debated converting it fixed. Now that my chain has exploded on 2 separate occasions causing me to respectively eat ****, I think its actually time to go through with it. So now Im trying to gather my parts list and first thing I want to find out is if this bike is French threaded or not? According to the decals its a Peugeot Record Du Monde "Sport". It has a "103" decal on the frame as well. I checked under the bottom bracket for a serial but there wasnt anything there. Im hoping someone could help ID by the pictures. In theory Id like to do a complete drivetrain overhaul. Wheelset, BB, crankset, pedals, etc.. I used to ride an IRO Mark V and that bike seemed bulletproof. If it is english threaded, will IRO parts fit on this bike? Thanks for any help!

I just had the same issue on a peugot frame that I bought. It can be hard to get an exact date for them
these were the links that some one here provided me:

I ended up just taking it to the LBS to have them measure the BB...
Thanks for the links. I think its a 79-83 model judging by the checkered theme. Unfortunately that means it could be French, Swiss OR British according to the website.

Haha yeah, I know exactly what you mean. According the serial, mine should be an 88. According to the stickers and head badge its should be a '78-'79 making it french or swiss. Turns out it was english threaded!
The classic/vintage guys might be able to help you out...
