I noticed in some of the recent races there were no aero helmets. Regular helmets with the vents closed up. I know they changed the rules, but does this me you have to use your regular helmet or are manufacturers going to redesign their aero helmets?

I mean in the time trials.
I mean in the time trials.
The new rule dictates that helmets must be worn in all stages, this includes the ITT and TTT. The old "helmets" that were worn were not really hemlets at all (hence the "") but really just a thin plastic faring that was used to decrease wind resistance. Giro has a new TT helmet that passes the safety codes now, the RevSix that was worn by LA and Eki in the Dauphine TT.
