Just got my first road bike :]

its a 54cm diamondback/centurion master tg
has 105 componenets all around and i think its a 1993 model

the downtube shifting is gonna take a little getting used to but im sure
ill get it

the bike came with a saddle with a spare tube inside (not pictured), cordless bike computer and a pump
paid $185 for it, i think its a pretty good deal

If you'd have kicked yourself if you didn't buy it - then it's worth $180 to you. And that's the only opinion that really matters. Aluminum frame? No lugs, which usually says 'aluminum.'

This would be a good bike to learn bicycle-mechanics on - if you want to do your own work. And you'll be learning about older-style bicycles in the bargain, too. Good deal. What type of front & rear-derailleurs are on this? It's generally customary to photograph a bicycle with the drive-side (right) closer to the camera.

Looks like you got a nice deal!

+1 Good chance to learn some bike mechanics.

You will get used to DT shifters very quickly. My four regular rides: trigger indexed shifters (mtb), indexed bar end shifters (touring bike), brifters (road bike), and DT friction shifters (road bike).

I logged many miles on a similar Diamondback. Tig welded steel? Nice ride and a good handler. Mine was about 2cm too big, so I ended up selling. That's a nice setup for $185. Enjoy!

They used the 105 components that would have been on the Ironman Expert if there had been one in 1990, basically the same frame as the LeMans, but TIG welded, same Tange Levin CD headset. In my opinion, the best Diamondback road bike produced in that era. I had an Expert TG with RSX components and it was nice, but heavy. I believe your frame was nearly the same weight as the Tange 2

yeah this bike seems pretty light to me but i really have nothign to compare it with
it serves the purpose i need it for pretty well so im happy with it
