OK, I am the spoiler here but I can't be ready to ride a metric by the 18th. Is there a bailout point in the proposed route? I can wait for you folks at a Starbucks then head over for the BBQ.

There's a few ways you could do it. In Fairfield, instead of heading up Gordon Valley Road and coming back Suisun Valley Road, you can stop at Vintage Caffe and have a little breakfast, cutting maybe 6 of the best miles on the ride. Another idea would be to ride Gordon Valley and stop somewhere in Vacaville and hang out, cutting the ride in half or so. Or meet us on Pleasants Valley Road and do the last half of the ride.

And as a number of NorCalers can attest, cgallagh is a food genius. And we love to entertain.

Just checked, no race for me that weekend. I'm in. I would love to do a slowpoke ride. These fast rides are killing my mellow.

Just to confuse everyone, here is another route. This can be done easily, is different than the routes proposed (have been done as slowpokes), and is scenic and fun. We can meet at our house and finish there. If anyone wants we can do a potluck or grill something and have some cold beverages at my house. http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Gordon-Valley-Winters-Loop

Do you want to start a seperate thread with the ride details? Not sure where you guys live...
