I never did computer chat. I think it would take me a while to get used to it, but at this point I have no plans to try it. I hope the chat room doesn't draw too many people away from the traditional forums, which I enjoy very much.

They can be fun and fast paced...helps if you are a decent typist. But I doubt it will take away from the regular forums at all. I look at the forums as a resource/education. Chat rooms are more like having a conversation with a group of friends somewhere, once the chat is over it is pretty much forgotten.

It only keeps a log of the last 30 or so posts.
It's mostly Foo traffic.
