Well, the PBone headshok on my 2000 Cannondale F300 (heavily modified) is gone. It is was never a great shock anyways, but it is so loose now that i can bottom it out with my 160lbs of weight by pushing down on it while standing next to it. I also can't adjust it so there is no making it firmer; the allen wrench adjuster spot is stripped. I was going to have it repaired but then i figure the shock is worthless anyways and it'll just cost a lot to fix. So i want to buy a new Headshok, not a standard fork because i like the light weight of the headshok. I do cross country riding, not downhill. Unless there is a fork that weighs between 2 and 3 lbs, i was gunna get a Fatty Headshok. Does anyone know what they cost new? I was thinking of getting one off of ebay if they are too expensive. Is there any kind of trade-in program like the frames?

Also, how much is a new CAAD5 frame? I called Cannondale regarding a trade-in program for my CAAD2. They told it it would be $1200 +my frame. I thought that was outragous... if they sell a $750 bike with the CAAD5, how can they sell just the frame for twice as much? I don't mind my frame, but it isn't disc ready and after using my friend's hydrolic discs i can't stand my crappy V-brakes anymore.

Thanks a lot, hopefully there will be some people that work for Cannondale out there that can help me out :)

Check out ebay. Even if you get a crappy fork, you can send it to Cannondale and have the internals rebuilt for like 70 bucks. That's where I got my frame and fork from (Cannondale F900 with Headshok) and I've been pleased with it.

Because you do not get a standard OEM frame. What they are willing to sell to you is the high end aftermarket frame.

Is there a difference in the "high end aftermarket" frame and the oem frame?

I've seen "Fatty D's" on ebay selling for about $300.

I'd much rather get the reducer cups and go for a standard fork.
