Hi. My youngest kids are surviving triplets, and for years (they're almost 6) i've bee riding with them in a trailer. I love it and they do, but it's time for more. I'm looking for a tandem tag along that will hold both of them, they are only 30 pounds a piece, but am concerned about the safety.
can anyone give me their thoughts - pro's / cons, etc.?
Also, is the only option the Adams tandem tag along, or is it possible to put two tag alongs in line?
Thanks!
Erika

It possible to do two trail a bikes in a row. But this is a new product I saw and it looks really nice. http://weehoogear.com/

Ohhh! That is awesome! One of my little ones has mild special needs, and this would be such a better option for him!! Looks like it's worth the wait!!

I spoke at length with the owner of the company and the single is currently available. The double should be available by the end of the summer. My little girl is 4 years old and 38 pounds and she can just barely reach the pedals on an adams trail a bike. My guess is that would be too big for your twins/triplets. I haven't tried the Adam's compact, but I hear that it does go smaller than the standard size. I would certainly encourage you to look into two compacts if you are wanting an option for this summer. Also Adam's has a seat back rest that might be helpful for your one with special needs.

adams makes a tandem trail-a-bike:

They used to make a chair-back kind of add on for smaller kids to use until they grow into the regular bike seat, but they seem to have scaled it up to a full on child seat for up to 40#:

that doesn't look designed to allow pedaling as best I can tell.
