Classic & Vintage - INFO SUGGESTIONS ON RIDE-EZ INC (Watertown SD)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well I saw it on Craigslist, and knew it would be a perfect Fathers Day gift for my Dad. My Dad is the stoker of our tandem, due to being legally blind. He lives in a city an hour from me and as a widower does not have anyone who can captain the tandem over there. The Lord blessed us and I was able to buy it and for only $50.
This is a photo the neighbor took before I took it apart for paint and repair. It looks solid and rides/drives nice, a lot nicer than I expected.
The head badge was a simple stamped foil sticker that said Ride-Ez Inc. Watertown S. Dak serial 0000133. I called the Watertown S Dakota chamber of commerce and they had no record of the company in the last 20 years.
Does anyone have any information about the company or the trike?
The head tube has taken a few knocks, enough that he head set cups just fell out while removing the fork. I have a few ideas on how to repair the tube to fit a headset but I would sure appreciate any suggestions my fellow C/Vers might have.
The rear wheels are very heavy duty, and one will need replaced. I have not figured out where to get such a wheel but I tried to buy spokes for them. The LBS did not have a spoke thick enough for the rear wheels and the motorcycle shop I stopped by looked at me strangely when I said I wanted to buy 3 spokes. They said they could get spokes but would have to know what make and model of motorcycle and they only came in whole wheel sets. They did give me a number of a local guy who builds motorcycle wheels.
Any Ideas where to get a heavy duty 20in coaster brake wheel?
If anyone is interested called one of the LBS in Watertown SD. He said he had never heard of them and he has been in there 30 years.
So Call Art Bell, George Nory and all the other late night radio commentators!!! I have solved the great mystery of how the ancients moved the stones etc:
The MIB stopped by and told me to quit, because the photo was too close to the high speed photos of UFO caught landing in Kansas:

Check with DrDeltron, or in the recumbent forum.
I'm thinking that you may find the parts, or at least some information, by getting in touch with the nice people at Worksman cycles.

"Henry? Tell these nice people that it won't be too hard to find the wheel they need. Call the local bicycle-stores, and if they can't help these Silent Majority members - they can find a proficient wheel-builder."
"Ya Vohl mein Fuhrer! Den can we nuke Congress?"
"Oh yes Henry! YES! A little more to the Right! YES!!"

note to self gota add Dr Strange love...
I think I have found a wheel that will do, off a 1980 Schwinn 36-36 BMX bike. I also have met with a fellow bike guy, he likes building wheels so I think I am set.
The trike is going over to Dad's later today if all goes as planned. It will boldly go......

In my LBS days, we had something similar called the Duo-Cycle.

I have heard from some well shall we say confidential informants that thier is a smuggling ring using tricycles to bring drugs across the boarders, and some "letter agency" is flying support in "black Helicopters".
No offence intended to the manufacture of that cool trailer and tricyle. The Gadabout is getting a hitch as well as a contintal kit for a spare tire , hopefully before Thursday -new delivery date
See the trailer in the John Madden xed photo
Tried to find anything on the Duo-Cyle, it was ellusinve as the skunk ape and chupacobria. Did find one close, though out of Canada.
