I just placed an order with Discount Bicycles Limited operating out of Mahatma Gandhi Industrial Estate London, I bought a few things £100+ order, including a Beto bike rack for rear disc brake (so that I can carry our daughter in a bike seat) and a child's cycle helmet. Firstly they decided to just give me a different cycle helmet because the one I ordered was not in stock - they didn't bother to check with me first, which would have been nice. Instead they made an "executive decision" thanks...

Secondly, the bike rack came with no instructions. When I contacted Discount Bicycles to see if they could assist with fixing the rack (it was not obvious, as usual), the assistant who answered the phone was especially unhelpful, rude, and generally quite obnoxious to point that he repeatedly hung-up on me! I am wary placing internet orders with smaller retailers and I called Discount Bicycles prior to placing the order and they were very helpful. However, it would appear that once they have your money customer care goes out the window.

Given the benefit of hindsight I would never buy anything from Discount Bicycles, they are rude, unhelpful and operate without the accountability of a bigger organisation. Funnily enough they also deal with customer complaints on the same telephone number and with the same member of staff... how useful! Don't buy anything from Discount Bicycles!
