Hi,
Does anyone know of someplace to park a car in Radium or Invermere or Fairmont for about 10-12 days while we ride the Icefield Parkway up and back? I,ve tried some hotels and Chamber of Commerce but have not had a reply.

You might be able to just pull into a side street and park like you would if you were a resident.

I did just that in Jasper when I rode the parkway last summer. Shouldn't be an issue in any smaller town.

Church parking lots too.
Google one up, tell them what you are doing, and ask the pastor ahead of time.
I've done that a couple of times camping.

There are LBSs in those towns, but when they might only have 4 or 5 spots designated for their store for car parking, they might not want a vehicle parked there for an extended period of time taking up one of those spots.

I did hear back from the Radium Chamber of Commerce and they said there's a free lot behind the visitors center in Radium. Non-secured but they said they've had no problems.
I would think that visitor centers in other towns might have the same thing?

We ended up parking in the lot behind the visitor center in Radium. We left a note with the folks in the center and they told the RCMP next door. When we returned two weeks later everything was fine.
