...right after I've just gotten a new bike. I doubt anyone remembers, but one of my first posts on here was about me crashing just after getting a new bike. Well, I just did it again. Only, I didnt get a concussion/broken nose/wrist. What I did get, was a video. . . Check back in a few hours for more on this... (please note, injuries include but are not limited to a screwed up wrist, same one I broke before, some nasty road rash, and I popped the buttons off of my pants).

No worries, I saved the bike with my elbow/wrist/shoulder. Note even a scratch on my easily scratched pedals and the handle bars didnt even get knocked out of alignment.

Just looked it up, turns out I have heard that term, only it was in its exact meaning, so I guess my slow mind didnt connect the dots. But I cant be that slow, facebook quizzes say I'm smart :)

Why was it the ramps fault? Looks like you had all your weight on the left side of the bike, and you landed at an angle from the looks of it.

No pain no gain :)

If the ramp surface slides off the supporting structure to the right, your weight is going to shifted to the left.

Wait, did I blame it on the ramp? Because it was def. my fault for building the ramp the way I did. I probably would of been fine, but I had the angle a bit too steep for the speed that I hit it at. Also, I do believe my weight was a bit forward upon hitting the ramp, so my fork took the impact of the lift off while my rear didnt. Either way, I'm still pissed.

Pissed? I'm always laughing after I crash....

BTW I just built a new bike 3 weeks ago and on it's first trip into the woods I tanked it, same thing with the bike before it and before that, hey I have the same problem as you!

I'm pissed because I re-tweaked my wrist, which has been giving me problems on and off for the last year (a result of the crash on my then new bike). It was just starting to be better in general, then I go bite it off of some stupid little ramp. . .

Hey man, the little stuff is what hurts...

The last time I rode in Georgia, I went off one of the small wooden ramps they had on the trail...just to fast I guess (20 mph)
that resulted in me and the bike landing 6 feet from the ramp, and then I got thrown an additional 20 feet. I escaped a few broken ribs by about 1.5 inches (handle bars jabbed right below my bottom rib, between my hip) and a few more feet to the left, my head and neck would of slammed a tree.

It left me left knee, left abdominal area, neck, and left arm/shoulder screwed up for almost 3 weeks... It didn't start feeling 100% better until I got to Germany,

I guess it's because most of us don't focus as much on the little stuff as we do on the big stuff.

Sucks about that wrist man, I hope it isnt anything to bad, so you can get back on the bike wiht no problems
