Fabian Jeker and George Totschnig came up trump today, with Jeker moving into 1st overall and Totschnig 2nd. Ullrich is only 30-odd seconds back of Jeker on GC.

Jeker and Totschnig can both ride against the clock, with Totschnig, former Austrian National Champion in the Time Trial, the better of the two.

While Ullrich should be able to gain ~40 secs. on these riders in the final ITT, it is not guaranteed. Riders riding for the winners jersey often ride beyond themselves, so anything could happen Sunday. Stay tuned.

Think Ullrich can take 40 seconds out of Jeker in the 25km time trial? (Coincidence that you mentioned '40 seconds' as Ullrich lost more time today) I would bet that Jeker has got it.

Jan gets 42 seconds on Jeker and wins by one second!

The guy that gets so much **** from the press and Lanceomaniacs deserves this.

Incredible!!! I just feel so bad for Jeker, who wanted the victory much more than Ullrich. Jeker is Swiss and such a win would be huge for him. Ullrich on the other hand was just training.

But then again, the strongest wins. And Ullrich didn't go 100% out in the previous stages. If he had, he would have won by more than a mere one second.

Not bad for a WAG, aye? ;)

I was most encouraged by the performance of Petrov today, who now ends up in 5th overall. He is starting to show well. And Bobby Julich. A very nice result for him.

Did Ulle take a bus ?
Couldnīt imagine to make 41 seconds on 25 kmīs...
Really incredible.
Now Iīm really looking forward to the Tour. This year, it will be closest ever between him and Armstrong. Armstrong will probably lose, Iīm quite confident.
