Classic & Vintage - How about these for mini seat or handlebar?

Mini seat or handlebar bags, that is.

Just the right size for a pack of cigs (regular), a Zippo, and 15 rounds of Mauser 8mm ammo. Kind of the 1940's to '50's version of the Profile e-Pack.

I would appreciate any thoughts re simple and secure mounting systems. Velcro?

RFC, I've got almost the same set up that I separated and now have on two of my bikes to hold spare tubulars or tubes, etc. I'll get some photos out tonight to show you how I mounted them under the saddle. They really look like the were made for a bicycle.

Nice pouches, but I guess tobacco and guns are not very cycling-related items...
I'd attach them with leather straps, not velcro. If you're concerned about someone stealing them, you could add an old brake cable loop with crimped ends.

I realized yours are a bit smaller than mine. Mine measure 9" x 3" x 1 3/4" I found these in a marine surplus store on Cape Cod and plan to go back this summer to see if they still have them. They were pretty cheap, maybe $12 dollars for the set of two. Here is one on my Raleigh International:

I used some of the extra leather straps to secure it around the seat post. Works pretty good so far!

Yes, your pouches are larger, but the concept is the same. Mine are for a WWII Mauser. There are leather ammo cases of many different types available on the internet.

It was nice to find a leather bag that was effective and affordable. Sometimes the price on full leather saddle/tool bags are pretty steep. I'll have to keep my eye open for different styles and sizes. I'll look forward to seeing some photos of yours mounted..
