Yo!

Hey,
I'm finally finishing a 29er SS project I've been working on for months, and I'm down to the cranks.
I'm using a soul cycles dillinger 29er frame, which is a burly aluminum hardtail, but an XC bike nonetheless.
Jenson has Race Face Evolve DH and XC cranks at the same price; I come from DJ/BMX, so I'm used to heavy cranks, and I currently run the Evolve DH on my jump bike. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Evolve XC and if it's a stout crankset? Would this be a more logical choice on a fully rigid SS set up for road only? I would imagine swapping tires and going off road occasionally, but the heavy riding will be reserved for my DJ. Also keep in mind that these will be running in an EBB, if it makes any difference.
This is the first build that I've been keeping an eye on weight, and the DH is definitely heavier by about 300g. But I like the stiffness and the pedal inserts, and the XC just seems to be a more logical choice.
Any opinions?
