G'day, my name is Michael, not Jim as you would probably expect from my user name (long story, might even explain it one day - when I can figure it out myself). I am from South Australia and have pretty much just gotten back into cycling after a five or six year break.
I have owned several malvern star mountain bikes before, but my most recent acquisition was an avanti hybrid. I say recent, even though I bought it about 7 years ago now. A few weeks ago one of my mates (an avid cyclist), invited me to go for a ride with her, and DAMN I forgot how awesome cycling is.
We just went for a tiny 40 km or so, but I had a blast. I was exhausted and fatigued for days afterwards, but it was the best feeling ever. Consequently, I have thrown myself into everything cycling related I can find. I am also probably going to be buying a road bike some time in the near future, but that I suppose is another story.
