Not really sure if this is the right forum, or even if I care. I hang out in this forum more than any other ones so there ya go. Just got my tattoo today. Livestrong means a lot to me and my family, that's why I picked it. Let me know what you guys think, and feel free to share your tattoos. :thumb:

I understand if your family has a history of cancer in it and you want to show your support. All the same, this feels like getting a tattoo of a corporate logo . I support a number of social causes and organizations, some of which are very close to my heart. But I would never get one of their logos tattooed on my body.
But if it makes you happy...:thumb:

don't listen to the negativity you'll get from some people here...thats an awesome tattoo and if it means something to you then that's all that matters.

If the tattoo:
1. means something to you
OR
2. you think it's dope
then it's cool, otherwise who cares
people get tattoos of whatever they want and thats they choice, you want the livestrong logo - cool, you want a jesus wearing a tuxedo smoking from a 6ft bong - thats cool too. but that placement... the artist should have made a suggestion instead of just letting you put it like that...

It's actually a rather nice placement. Picture riding a bike shirtless on the correct side of the street.
Of course, you best be wearing some sunscreen...

i dig it. bikers are VERY polarized by armstrong. he's either an american hero or a total ******bag. if that was a breast cancer awareness ribbon, no one would give you ****, even though they are both cancer foundation logos. don't be turned off by those who can't separate the man from the mission.

I don't have an opinion of celebrity athletes usually, but I prefer to like Lance Armstrong simply because most people who holler at me while I am riding call me "Lance" (strange coz I am never even so much as wearing lycra or a helmet). Bike haters really need some new material imo.

I think its fantastic. Way to go getting a tattoo that actually means something instead of just decorating for the sake of decorating.

Thanks for all the replies guys, positive and negative. The Livestrong foundation has played a pretty big part in my life and in my family, so it really does mean a lot to me. Also, how can you not love Lance? He spanked the french (and everynody else) 7 years in a row, all after surving testicualr cancer. I guess he's just my own personal hero, and the Livestrong logo was a bit more classy than getting his face across my back. As far as the placement, it's hard to see in the pictures, but it lines up perfectly with the top of my shoulder, so it looks good when you see the whole back. And consumer w****? Try, "Supporting a good cause." Representing a nonprofit organization who raises money for cancer awareness and research hardly seems like being a consumer w****, but to each his own. :thumb:

What you should do now is if you can get to an event to meet Lance and have him sign it and go to your Tat shop and have them ink it up, that would be even cooler. I would rather see people get tats for what they believe in over the douch3-b@g tribal tats or wanna be rock-star sleeve tatttoos!

+1 on the signature idea. placement is questionable tho. should have been in a spot where it will stay in line.

STFU. If it were up to people like you we'd all be living in huts as tribes and sh*t picking berries and dying at age 35. LiveStrong is a organization dedicated to helping cure cancer and supporting those living with it, and you bash the OP for believing in it.
So, would a tattoo of a fixie or a cog or some witty hipsterism be more to your liking?
PS: You were so angry that you misspelled "consumer."

Being from Scranton, PA you should have gotten the Dunder-Mifflin logo.
I've seen the Keystone tat before, I've just never lived one place long enough to have any loyalty.

haha. i mostly yell at the show when they **** things up about the city. i lived here in PA all my life(mostly in Scranton, but a few years in State College for school). i had a stint in Florida for a few months, but i'll always be an Easy Coast boy from PA.
