5 Hills! After "cooking" myself the last 2 weekends with hard rides, I thought I'd go for an easier one this weekend.

I love this little ride. It's around 80 miles and 5000 feet or so. One of the great things about this ride is that after each hill it's easy to head North to Green Valley and get back. Lots of bailout options make this a good training ride for those that are looking to improve their fitness. The 3rd hill can even be skipped without loosing the group, though you'd have to wait a bit as we loop around. So if you want to do part of it and bail out early, that's fine.

The ride starts at Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova a little after 8am. I plan to leave my house promptly at 8. So if you want to meet here, be ready to roll at 8 (Nico, you should plan to be ready at 7:30 :innocent:). We'll take the ARBT to Iron Point, then proceed to the rest. The other hills are Beatty, Wilson, Serrano 1 and 2. After those hills, we'll tack on the Loomis Loop for some easy riding on rollers.

There will be a lunch stop, so bring a few $. Also, some snacks for the morning would be wise. 2 water bottles a must, a camelback shouldn't be needed. There are enough places to stop and fill up on the way.

Anyone want to join in?

hahaha... I hear ya :D Unfortunately I'm booked this whole weekend :o

We need to plan out more 50-60 milers (that way I can do more than just ride for most of the day on one of my short weekend days :innocent: ... take a lot of food with us, skip lunch & save $, and get back home early while still getting a great ride :thumb:).

Maybe next weekend (long weekend!). How'd the Folsom Lake loop go? I still haven't done that one.

Ride with you soon!

Not next weekend, we're out of town. You missed a fun ride. Home by 2. Not too shabby.

50-60 mi? You're gonna have to step up to the longer rides!

Oh I can step up, the fitness/distance isn't the issue... it's that there are not enough hours in the day and I want to do other things also :D ... home by 2pm is good though!
