Commuting - Vancouver BC Bike Route Planner (now w/ slope selector)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A colleague of mine put me on to this: http://www.cyclevancouver.ubc.ca/

I don't know who authored it, nor do I take any credit, but I will point out:

The map can be set to select bike routes in the city
It can re-direct your route based on limitations you place on maximum slope
The map identifies cyclist-operable traffic lights on major city streets

A nifty thing, aprticularly for planning a daily commute! Now if only we can get this as a mobile app!

Yeah I saw this while googling for Vancouver Bike maps.
BTW, Lower Mainlanders can use the Central Valley Greenway. It's not bad. Need better signage.
