I did some upgrades recently and snapped some photos of my Pista. I was able to find the hard-to-find Cinelli track bars and stem. I also stumbled upon and brand new Selle Italia Alpine saddle that I've never seen before. Overall I'm digging the build. Want to move to clips next and then I'm thinking about a Campy crank. Can't wait to take it to the track. Anyway, thought you folks might appreciate some pics.

I know but in the Bike Porn thread you're not suppose to post your own bike and I thought the Pista thread was only for Pista Concepts. In the end, who cares. It's a forum.

^your bike doesn't deserve its own thread, not even close. you should have just posted it in the photo thread for your own bike, if everyone wanted to post their own thread of their bikes, there'd be tons of stupid threads like this. my '93 cannondale track frame didn't get its own thread, and it's a hell of a lot nicer than your generic pista...

seriously? there's a thread devoted to the Pista, and there's one for the Pista concept, this thread, as well as the OP's bike is lame. use the search your bike isn't nearly worthy of it's own thread....

I didn't mean to steal his thunder - I just thought it was cool he posted up his modern pista w/ similar saddle (color), bars and grips.

to op

i really like your build. withe the gum wall tires, cinelli fork (looks great!) and white parts. definately need an all silver crank though.

also this is the first chrome pista ive really noticed looks better with the decals than stripping them off

I like the white fork. Is it the stock fork painted, or is it something else?

I think the black chainring is ok. You don't want your bike to be too shiny.

What tires are you using?

drainyoo
06-23-09, 01:47 PM
The fork is a Cinelli SuperCorsa and the tires are Veloflex Pave.

I got the bars and stem together on eBay for $90.

I prefer the look of a quill stem and the fork is a Cinelli SuperCorsa.

Yeah I could but I just really need to pull the rear wheel tight.

Why are you going to switch from SPD's to clips and straps?

dougland89
06-23-09, 06:21 PM
^maybe he doesn't like spd's? wants to use normal shoes? going for a more traditional look? hmmm using your brain is fun.

Why are you going to switch from SPD's to clips and straps?

I'm riding to work so I'd like to just wear my regular sneakers and not have to carry around a second pair of shoes. Makes it easier.

True, but if you remove a link and slide the wheel forward, it will be closer to the seat tube and make for a cleaner look, at least in my opinion.

I agree and I've been thinking about doing it.
