Foo - Now if I can find a way to ripen them...

This afternoon I started the annual prune of my passionfruit vine, now that the weather isn't warm enough to ripen them any longer. Of course, I figured there would be a few on there still, and maybe I could bring a few of them inside, and find a spot that might get a bit of sunlight to extract the last few for this particular season. Trouble was, "a few" was just a bit of an underestimate. Hence this little pile pictured below, which I would suspect represents about half of what I'm going to "harvest". Assuming I can find a way to ripen some of these buggers, who wants some passionfruit?

Put 'em in a big paper bag with a couple apples.

You were right, passionfruit capital of the universe!
They will ripen off the vine but should be at least a little purple and not all green. Put 'em on the windowsill... They should ripen in colour and juiciness but probably little in sweetness. Enjoy your tart little buddies
Hmmmm...can you make wine from passionfruit?

These ones don't turn purple, they are the exotic "banana passionfruit". A lot sweeter than the purple ones! In fact, I can only ever recall one shop selling these things up here. Oh yeah, I did get quite a few ripe ones off the vine in the end, those aren't in the picture.

I have no idea what passion fruit is but it sure sounds good, if you can wait about two more weeks I can trade you tons of summer squash. Yes it sure is summer up here now. And btw summer here means 95deg F is a really hot day, and we dont get a whole lot of those :)
Actually I will also have a bunch of tomitillas, they almost look like those.
