I just got back to dallas about 3 weeks ago after graduating college and i've been hitting the lake every day by myself. i've improved my avg speed from 16.5 to nearly 20+, but now it's getting really boring slogging through the wind by myself.

i see you other solo warriors out there around 6-dark and was wondering if anybody wanted to congeal and make a little informal group ride every once and a while, or for maybe one lap around the lake. i'm looking to hit at least 18mph+ and usually do at least 20 miles. male/female/tranny...whatever. let's do it as early as tonight.

happy riding

you should ride in the AM instead... some friends and I are out there every day at 6:30, as long as it isn't pouring. some days we keep it at 23+, but other days we avg 20-22. we go counter-clockwise around the lake on tues/thurs to avoid the huge group.

don't forget to stop at the stop signs out there :)

Wow, I can't even fathom 23+ at 6:30 in the AM! I've been going around 7:00 PM, lately. It's still warm but the sun is setting so it's actually pretty nice. I foolishly tried one at 1:00 PM a few weeks ago, I thought I was going to die. I think I sweated out the equivalent of a ten-year-old!

its great! the temp is around 77-80 in the morning. by 6pm, you're looking at *at least* 10 degrees warmer. of course, you're still dripping with sweat no matter what time you go. i miss my winter rides...
