Training & Nutrition - Peanut Butter In Europe?

Can't live without my daily PB
Leaving in a few weeks for a long bike trip and curious if it is available in Europe.
Will take some if I need to but would prefer not to

yes you can buy peanut butter in Europe- I recommend the Sunpat- whatever you do stay away from German made peanut butter-it really sucks

the only peanut butter I've had in Europe was in Ireland. It tasted like that thick, dry all-natural stuff we have over here. If you're into JIF or something of that ilk, then I recommend bringing some. Of course, that doesn't mean that there aren't better options in other parts of Europe.

come to think of it German Peanut butter might be similar to US peanut butter- so if you are from the US then you might really love German peanut butter- there`s no accounting for taste I suppose

No, German peanut butter isn't much like American peanut butter. But if you go to Germany you should be using nutella anyway :P

Yeah, Nutella. Best stuff this side of heaven. Cheaper over there, too.

However, they do not sell jelly. So pack your own. ;)

Anyone that doesnt know...map-o-spread is basically a spread of nutella thickness made from reconstituted maple syrup....it's freaking delicious...so sweet it can make your neighbor's teeth hurt :D

I had to ban peanut butter from my house several years ago because I love it so much, I used to scoop it up and eat it as if it were ice-cream!! I got too fat!

I used to eat peanut butter on wheat sandwiches all the time, even while watching DVDs...the flash of teh butterknife in the dark...the light reflecting off the smooth yet chunky layer of peanut butter....the sound of me engorging in millions of calories of ever yummy goodness....

I think thats the same as Marmite and you will only be able to buy it in the UK-other Europeans are horrified by it

Isn't there are slight difference? I remember as a kid in Scotland we used to have a choice of jelly, which was sugary, fruity and pectin-based and jam, which is of course the "normal" stuff. I know the French do some lovely jam, tho it is expensive.
