I posted this in Foo, but I have a lot of friends here so I thought I'd cross-post:
Just wanted to share. Pretty decent pipes for an 8th grader (at least mom and dad think so). :) Oh - and I wasn't holding the camera - mom was. So don't bag me for the camera shake.

She gets a (root) beer in Foo, she gets a (root) beer here:  Excellent.

Excellent .... she's better than a lot of singers at pro events ... definitely better than Roseanne! Well done!

Awesome! :thumb:
Tell Katherine I expect to see her singing at a Giants or Sharks game in the next year or two. (Although she might have to learn the Canadian anthem to work hockey).

Beautiful voice! So poised for her young age. Bravo!
Can't say the same for Mom at the camera though, she had a heck of a time controlling her emotions.
Well she also deserves some congratulations... and Dad too. :thumb:

That's really, really nice. She (and you) should be proud of the way that she performed under pressure.
Nice phrasing, good intonation, extremely professional. That's a very hard song to sing, especially a cappella, and she knocked it out of the park.
Wow she has a great voice - you must be very proud! I completely agree with Ron's point too, so much better than the versions you hear at pro sporting events, spoken as one of them, ahem, foreigners.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. I'm showing the vid to my daughter to show her what she can aspire to.

John,
Tell Katherine that is one great tribute to our country and she sang it beautifully.
Take Care,

She does have a nice voice. She can carry a tune plus she's got the lungs which I think she probably gets from you because you're pretty loud. :) She did a great job with the national anthem. Nice to hear that some schools still say the Pledge too.
Very impressive.. It has been said by many that the national anthem is the most difficult of any song to sing, and she sang it well.
Very nice, thanks for sharing
Great job. Congrats to you all. Based on the signage, the graduation ceremony took place at the Cal High football field which is where my 8th grade graduation was held as well but over 20+ years ago... now I feel old.
