i think i would really like one of these when they come out, what do you think?
That actually looks pretty cool. Think I would want to demo one on a bike before purchase to see if the progressive scanning really does stabilize the image.

wonder if it would be legal in a race?
What use would this have that a mirror and computer doesn't already provide? It's a bit steep at $379.....
If it can snap a pic, or record video, with 2 gb of memory, as the ad copy says it can, it might be useful if a vehicle is behind you and harrassing. Be able to show the authorities a record of vehicular harassment, and avoid he said/she said scenario.

I suppose so, but how often does that really happen, and especially to the point of getting the police involved?

Ya know, I can maintain 25 mph on a level road ok, but it really annoys me to turn my head, ouch! :) Only if there was something.... ;)
A) it's almost $400
2) It only records for 30 sec. at a time. There's plenty of bike-mountable video cameras out there that'll record for longer than that (like for accident/harassment/etc evidence)
III) There's no way the image on that little screen is gonna be better than the one on/in a mirror. Especially w/ glare and all that (I'm guessing)
Another thing) I don't like that most of the images are computer generated. I mean I understand they may not have a final product out yet and all that but still... it makes me nervous (especially w/ vid. quality).
That being said, it looks cool and I think it's a neat idea.
