Hello, my name is Matt and I'm from Tennessee, specifically Murfreesboro. I'm pretty much a total noobie to bikes and biking. Since I was like 11, I've had the same Huffy mountain bike. I used to not ride at all. I just didn't think I enjoyed it. Well I went to the trail with some friends a couple weeks ago to ride and I had a blast. I forgot how much more fun riding a bike is than just plain old running! I've been out riding every day since then, this time I'm borrowing my dad's Diamondback Sorrento. It's a lot more fun with a bike that isn't totally rickety! So I'm mostly going to be using this site to look for a new bike. I'm not going to leave when I'm done, but that's where I'm starting at.

Thanks for having a forum set up like this!

Welcome. I am a noob here myself. I am in Fall Branch, TN near Johnson city/Kingsport/Bristol. So far I have found some good info here.

Howdy.

I'm glad you discovered the fun of biking. The most important advice I can offer about picking a bike is- Find a bike shop that is helpful and friendly and buy a bike from whatever brands they sell. Service before, during, and after the sale is FAR more important than what logo is on the down tube.

Good luck.

PS": There are a ton of TN people from all over who post in the Southeast Forum (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=234) if you are ever looking for folks to ride with.
