Title pretty much says it, I'm a 18 years old...I just got my 4 wisdom teeth out on Monday, so how long I should wait before I can go out for a ride again? I would ride typical "recovery"/easy ride with my heart rate between 115-130.

Wow, beats me. I had an emergency appendectomy at 18 and the next morning I was doing pushups beside my bed. Monday evening?

I think the biggest concern is raising your bp, and causing bleeding. Breaking that clot can be bad news. I hear dry socket is no fun. You could probably ride and not have any problems, but the worry is that there is some small but significant chance you might. What did your doc say?

I think there is also a concern about infection. There is a serious risk of infection after wisdom teeth removal and exercise can depress you immune system for short periods of time. If its a nice sunny day going for a really short, really easy ride probably isn't a problem although don't get sunburned either which can depress your immune system. Then again just going for an evening walk may be better.

Another thing will be the effect of any pain killers you might be taking for a few days.

I didn't ask my doctor, cause I was so out of it when I got done the other day, but I might call and ask tomorrow, cause I've definitely been worried about getting dry socket after reading about it on the internet. I just feel like such a caged animal not being able to ride...like I don't want to take too long off because I'll lose everything I had, but I don't want to go back too quickly and have something bad happen.
