Looks extremely clean!

The negatives, steel rims, cottered crankset, french threading, gas pipe frame, bottom end bike.

The plusses: extremely clean and a mixte.

Because of condition and that it is a mixte, I would estimate value at $200, maybe even a little more.

That would sell for $250 easy in my market. Advertising it as a nice cafe/grocery getter. Nice looking bike.

Whats a Mixte anyways? I mean is it a unisex bike? Or more of a speedy looking ladies bike. What are they not in the peugeot catalogues ive been looking at trying to date the bike (1975 according to the rims.... )

I sometimes see hipsters (guys) on these converted to single speed using the original cog. I think they want to be "in" but may not have the money for something better and have found a mixte. Or maybe they cant raise their leg over a regular mens top tube in their really tight skinny jeans.... who knows... im just saying....

See the top tube? Its actualy 2 smaller tube and they run all the way from the headtube to rear dropout without stopping giving the the rear section 3 tubes versus 2. The rear seaction has seat stays (tubes by the brakes), chainstays (tubes down low by the cranks and the middle tubes (extended top tube)

In general a mixte has 2 sepaerate top tubes running the entires length of the bike. Variations of a ladies frame are:

1. Regular ladies frame with 1 big top tube that terminates at the seat tube.
2. 'Pseudo Mixte' 1 big tube that terminates at the seat tube with seperate tubes continuing to the back axle. 3 seperate bar total.
3. Mixte. 2 seperate tubes front to back.

Ladies frames are inherently weaker and dont ride as well as mens bike. A true mixte frame helps to strengthen the frame and bring back some of the lost ride quality.

NOT A MIXTE:

Pseudo Mixte: See hoe the top tube terminates at the seat tube then seperate tubes continue to the back? This debatable in regards to being a mixte.
