Okay, what do you guys think of slime in tubulars, is it safe, does it work, is it worth it and is it possible?

In my experience, Slime is a good product and Slime Tubes, even the Slime Light Tubes, perform as claimed. If you're having the types of flat problems that Slime prevents, try it in some training sew-ups and report back your results. The problem is going to be getting it in - American valves aren't bad but I've not had good luck with French valves (Unless you'r skilled at repairing sew-ups, I'd recommend contacting someone who does such repairs and send him/her a couple of tubulars to modify for you). Good luck!

thanks, I guess that was my question, is there a way to get the slime into a presta valve?
I was considering placing my adapter on and trying to mump the slime in..
one of my tubulars has a small leak and loses air within apx 3 days so I was thinking it would be cheaper to buy slime than a new tire. cheap arent I hehehe

DON'T DO IT! Slime is heavy and lumps up. Use the tufo sealant! It only works on small holes, and only on butyl tubes. They were designed for tufo tires that don't have innertubes, but they also work on innertube tires, although not as well. You will be limited to about 100psi (depends on the size of the puncture). You might want to try tirealert.com is you get a puncture on a fairly new tire.

I was surfing the slime home page earlier this week. Can't find it now. Anyway, I recall the site stating that Slime is not compatible with presta valves. Instead, they recommend the Slime tubes. Which doesn't help you at all with sew-ups. :)

I tried Slime once in one of my kid's tires and it didn't help. Here's an interesting review...

I tried slime once and found that it leaked out of the valve when I pumped my tire causing my pump to get gunked up. I won't use it again on a high pressure tire but perhaps for a mountain bike it would be fine.

I always found it better to be dropped out of buckets onto people's heads.

Good boyeaux tire (tubulars) have a removeable core, and cheap boyeaux tires do not. If your boyeaux tires do not have removeable core, you can not use this product.

I rode with a local club here once when a person had a puncture on a boyeaux tire that had green sealant in tube. The sealant leaked and only filled hole at about 4atm pressure. It also made green coloration on tape, and the cycliste said that he had to throw the tire away because he could not get a patch to adhere. This was a Veloflex tire that cost $150 Canadian!

Slime used in MTB tires is great...BUT in road bikes it doesn't work! The higher pressure of even a clincher (not alone a tubular), just blows the slime out of any hole once the pressure exceeds about 65psi. Once that green slime starts blowing out it makes a mess of the inside of the tire and rim. The crap is also heavy; and their presta valves suck. I used in both MTB and road and the above info is based on that experience.

Any idea of it safeness to people?

I installed a tube with the slime already in it onto an old Schwinn Varsity rim. The new tire didn't hold and popped off the rim, the tube expanded outward and before I could relieve the pressure, POP  , I had slime all over me.

Of course the wife and kid were rolling on the ground laughing :D for an hour or so.....

The Slime is not hazardous unless you swallow it!!! I once poured some all over on my arm and on the ground then laid down, then sent my daughter over to get the neighbor kids to tell them I was injured and bleeding all over the place! Imagine the look on their faces when the "blood" was green and I'm laying there moaning!!!
