Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - New Belt Notch Day

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Well, at long last, today is the fateful day my friends.
The belt that I currently own doesn't have enough holes in it, so I had to make another. Yup, I'm now officially down 2 belt notches, and actually it's more like 2 1/2 if I sinch it good.
Next time I buy clothes, I'm going to have to try on a new size.

I'm close to switching to my smaller belt. So I know how you feel.

Of course, I'll be starting the process over again..... :( o well.

Woo hoo! It is a great feeling isn't it! Eventually, you should think about cutting some of the end off your belt otherwise it starts to look really silly with a foot and a half of belt flopping about.

Or in my case, I had to cut 30" of belt off the end of one of my old belts. :D

My wife wouldn't let mine get that long. She didn't understand that it is like a badge of honor.

I saved this belt, just for that purpose. I distributed a family video of the event. :D

*grin* I had to change to a new belt as I had bought previously a weird designed one that was layered strips of material so I couldnt make a new hole in it. We bought me one of the belts that has double holes and the holes go around the whole belt so I should not need another belt *woo hoo* *LOL* may have to cut some off soon though as I am now 8 holes into it already (I started not long ago at the 3-4 mark *LOL*

Congrats on the loss (Heh, I guess this is one of the only times you can congratulate some one on a loss :D ).
I think my current belt is just for show now, it's not doing anything to hold my pants up. I almost lost them at work last week unloading paper boxes. I'm going shopping this weekend, but I don't want to buy clothes that won't fit next summer.

Hell YEAH!!! Nothing beets the feeling of your belt no longer even being tight enough to take up all that slack in your pants' waistline. Congrats!

Welcome to the forum, Dwight Schrute! :p
To the OP:
I'll be doing that soon, too. My belt is losing its effectiveness...
Congrats !!!

Congratulations!!!
I remember when I had to go look for the leather punch that I bought to lace a Brooks saddle to punch a hole in my belt, it is a great feeling.
Enjoy it...

Nice work man. I've put 4 holes in my belt and it is always an exciting feeling. Just don't start going back up ;)
