Hey everybody,
I already made my first post and thought for sure I was going to have no responses, but to my surprise I had multiple answers all with great advice! I am in the market for my first bike currently tossing up between a Trek 2.1 and a Cannondale Synapse 5. I don't have all the cash yet but I am so psyched for the day I get my bike! I used to ride all the time on my mountain bike, I saved for almost 2 years and I'll never forget the day I got my Schwinn Impact Pro, it was a big deal when I was kid. I rode the hell out of that thing and looking back I realize I spent about 90% of the time on road. The older I got the less I rode, got my license, job, girlfriend you know how it goes. I'm 28 now, married and have been under a lot of work stress and other crap and just feel like going nuts, like I need to get out. That same week I saw a dude on his bike and I remembered how much fun that was to just ride. Picked up a couple mags went to the local bike store and been thinking about it for quite sometime. Been putting in some OT saving up my pennies and I can't wait to get my new ride, I just hope I can get it before the end of this season, summers don't last long up here. Eventually I want to find a local group to ride with, just seems like a great way to spend the weekend. Anyways I look forward to hearing and learning from you guys and hopefully be able to contribute to the forums myself. Hope to meet some of you on the road someday! :thumb:

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
