A few of you know that I have this Peugeot "Competition," you also know its to tall for me, but I've decided to keep it and ride it as I figure chances of me finding a decent bike in my size are getting slimmer and slimmer as the years go by, if you guys can help answer this question I'd appreciate it.
O.K. the seat tube has what appears to be a crack caused by maybe someone clamping it to tight, this must have happened years ago as the bike was in storage for a looooong time before I got my hands on it, think I can ride it with no worries? or should I worry? anyways here are pics of the "crack" on the seat tube, it starts at the top of the "O" in the word "Record" and ends at the little rust spot just above it, and no, there is no rust inside the frame. (posted the crank pic for the "wow!" factor!)

I saw that in C&V. I wouldn't worry about it. Keep an eye on it. The ST doesn't take the kind of loads where that would be a problem. Park stands have ruined a lot of frames over the years. I don't know if a bike stand would make that damage, but it's possible. Is there any other indication of damage in that area? It does look like the tubes might be squished a little, you could take a caliper and measure at a couple places along the seat tube.

No damage at all anywhere on that area or on the seat tube (or any where else on the frame for that matter) Im thinking Ill give her a really good cleaning and a tune up and see how she rides. :)
