Hi all. I've been trying to install at Topeak Explorer Tube Rack to my 2006 Bianchi Brava.
bike: http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2006&Brand=Bianchi&Model=Brava&Type=bike
rack: http://www.topeak.com/products/Racks/ExplorerTubularRack_spring
I'm hoping to plunge into some commuting/touring this summer, and I thought this would be a good start. However, I'm having some trouble with the installation. The rack mounts using two aluminum mounting bracket arms. My bike also has threaded bosses for mounting. However, when mounting the bracket arms they are notably wider than the width of the two bosses on the seat stay. Also, more of a concern, is that the left arm aligns directly with rear break.
Outside of bending the heck out of the mounting arms, I'm not sure what to do. Is it possible I purchased an incompatible rack? I'm not sure how a different rack would mount any differently.
I'd appreciate any help or tips.
Thanks,
Craig
