Hi,

As a relatively new cyclist (i have been cycling a year) i'm looking at a Cycling holiday in Mallorca towards the end of the summer, to hire a better bike and cycle more scenic and challanging routes, i was wondering if anybody has any info that they wouldn't mind sharing if they have done a similar holiday, any hints, tips or information on hire shops, hotels, B & B bars, cafes, Cycling haunts and routes this would very much appreicated.

Many Thanks.

Can thoroughly recommend hiring a bike from Pro Bike http://www.procyclehire.com/pch/index.html I stayed in Puerto Pollensa a couple of years back, and founf it a lovely place to stay also. Pro Bike hired me a new carbon Giant TCR, and there are organised rides heading out from the town [free] that you are welcome to join. You could do worse than to check out their web site as I'm sure a lot of your questions will be answered there [and no I don't work for them! Just like to recommend places that provide good service]

Im from Mallorca(but live in the UK now, you can imagine when I get the casual git saying "go back to your country" I tell them I cant, because its full of people like him..so I had to do something about it.By the way contrary to popular belief UK is a lot more racist than Spain, specially Mallorca)

There is a very nice and easy ride with bike lanes etc around the Mallorca bay, starts at "El Club De Mar"(main port, Next to Marivent Palace, the Royals summer house) and ends.. well, till you give up, its all around the coast for about 80km then moves to more mountain terrains (Mallorca has awesome mountains if you want that kind of ride)

Mallorca is very bike friendly.

one tip: go out and discover, theres a lot of cool "Calas" little undiscovered beaches that most people dont know about..

Enjoy! Im planning on going to Mallorca this summer too, but I dont want to go by plane if you know what I mean..

Edit: If you need any questions answered feel free to ask
