Hello all:
I am new to 'cross and just picked up an '04 cx800. Cross bikes ROCK!!! If I knew it was going to be this much fun I would've picked one up a long time ago!

However, I have a question: I go on a short tour every year using panniers- although I might pull a trailer this year- and I want to put on a triple, which the salesman said that would be no problem. However on the frame it clearly states that only a 68 x 108 is to be used. What the heck is that all about? Is it just with that particular crank/cassette combo? Has anyone put a triple on this frameset?

i don't know what frame you have, but kona recommends a 113 mm bb for its jake the snake and major jake models. i suspect that your frame manufacturer recommends 108 mm for a standard cyclo-cross double, but does not obviate the use of a longer spindle for a triple.
