Bicycle Mechanics - 48 or 50T ring on ultegra crank

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Is there a 48 or 50 tooth chainring that I can put on an Ultegra crank? Don't see any listings for an ultegra chainring smaller than 52.

You can get high quality 130mm pattern chainrings for your Ultegra crank from several different manufacturers. Specialties T.A. are probably the best, also FSA and Blackspire. These are all available with ramps and pins for STI front shifting compatibility. This is a great idea, especially with so many rear cassettes using 11 and 12 tooth high gear cogs. It's especially good if you're using a triple and want lower gears; a 28/39/49 set can work well in an Ultegra triple system--or as well as an STI front shifter on a triple will ever work!
