Question for all of you! I bought an old CCM 'encore' last summer from a local bike-flipper. It's a shimano single speed with a coaster brake. It looks reasonably original, aside from the seat and a fastener or two, and isn't in TOO rough of shape (the rear hub should really be rebuilt, however). I don't ride it too often, as I leave it at my girlfriend's place for trips to the video store and whatnot. I've only repalced tubes and tires so far.

Here's a cell-phone pic:

serial # is A731979

Anyone have an idea when it dates to, or if most of it is at all original?

Thanks!

Hmm... since I'm not asking about price, maybe I put this in the wrong section.

You could try searching on Kijiji through the major Canadian cities. When you find one that is the same colour, stickers, read the ad to see if there is any info on the age\date. Sometimes, you can respond by e-mail to see if they are the original owners and if they know the year they bought it.
