Folding Bikes - Your avatar, please explain

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Mine is taken from a photo of my Grandfather after he won a 100 mile road race in the 1920s. He was a very talented pro cyclist in his day and his winnings helped his family through the Depression. He was invited to race in Europe with Hubert Opperman in races like the early TDF, but he declined as he had a young family and couldn't bear the thought of leaving them alone while he was away. I remember him as a humble, honest and very gentle man, my avatar is my tribute to him.

I was helping my wife with her helmet because she put it on the wrong way round at first, and I was trying to switch it around before the other riders saw her embarrassing moment. Haha!

T.A. members arrested for blocking the Queensboro Bridge bike-pedestrian path to cars. The New York County Court judge who acquitted the “QB6” in 1991 ruled that “The death and illness of New Yorkers from air pollution and vehicles are far greater harms than that created by disorderly conduct.”

From a Monty Python sketch, that's Michael Palin as "BICYCLE REPAIRMAN" very funny indeed.
Google it, Youtube it, watch it.

I was wondering whatever became of it. Could you create another one or at least fix the old one? Your posts look so empty without something to describe you visually instantly as the one and only LittlePixel!

Now the spotlight focuses on me. My own avatar was developed originally as a class assignment for a Illustrator instruction exercise. I liked it so much I still use it on all my official presences on the Internet. This includes my personal Website series, online correspondences, and a copyrighted protection watermark at times. It is even on my personal computer as a graphic representation of myself every time I log on and boot up Windows!

That is beautiful....treasure it.
Hmm mine also evaporated in the cyber-ether... resurrected it, a pen sketch by a Chinese sidewalk artist in Beijing, and the customary blowfly settled on me on arriving back in Oz. Man I hate those monsters.
Currently, I'm using Picasso's sculpture of a bull's head. If you're amazed at the prices used leather saddles bring on ebay, just think what this one would fetch! And look, it comes with a handlebar....
I used to use one of the little soldiers on my 1950 Norman three speed; before that I had used a sketch of a guy (that would be me) on a Strida.

Well, mine's apparently back for the moment, too.
It's a picture of my two folders: A RED Dahon S1, and a very GREEN, Bike Friday NWT.

Yay! I've mended it with a nice new Maurice Sendak 'Where the Wild Things are' one.
Not because I'm wild, nor do I think I'm king (of anything).
It just seemed like a nice image for an avatar...
(maybe I need to get a white furry animal baby-gro suit for my rides around central london though)

Mine is a picture of me on tour (http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/?o=9EmsG&doc_id=5404&v=6K), on the Washington Crossing bridge (http://www.flickr.com/photos/neilfein/3626071945/in/set-72157619746149914/), crossing the Delaware River (http://www.flickr.com/photos/neilfein/3626887504/in/set-72157619746149914/) from PA to NJ.
Here's the full picture, since this post will make little sense the next time I change my avatar:

Thank you. It's hard to know what goes on in these little minds. Here's another I have used. Always be on the lookout, I've found scraps of paper with wild little critters drawn on them. I keep them safe and near.
